Information for students
GCN invites students to give oral and poster presentation. Awards will be presented by the GCN to excellent student poster and oral presentations during this event. Six prizes for each category (oral and poster presentation) will be given:
• 1st prize: $500
• 2nd prize: $300
• 3rd prize: $150
To be eligible, applicants must be:
1. Lead author of a poster or oral presentation
2. A registered graduate student and affiliated with Green Crop Network

Poster Presentations

To submit your abstract please email it to info@greencropnetwork.com. Please note that student abstracts are automatically eligible for the GCN student award.
Student Oral Presentations
(deadline for abstract submission: April 18th, 2011)
To submit your abstract please email it to info@greencropnetwork.com. Abstracts for student presentations will be evaluated by the Green Crop Network Competition Committee. The selected abstracts will be invited to present at the Green Crop Network AGM and will be eligible for the GCN student presentation award.
Posters should be a maximum of 1m x 1.1m (L x H). Either Velcro tape or pins (provided on-site) will be used to attach the posters to the poster boards. The location of each poster will be assigned at registration.

For the purposes of the above acknowledgement, “GCN support” can be defined as:
1. Direct funding (e.g., graduate student salary, PDF/RA salary, materials and supplies, etc.);
2. Work that was undertaken as a direct result of the GCN technical agenda, even if funded from complementary sources;
3. Work for which the GCN was a direct scientific influence.
